Lee Chong Wei To Be Part Of BAM’s Technical Advisory Panel

Kuala Lumpur: Malaysia’s badminton legend, Lee Chong Wei alongside 6 other former Malaysian badminton players such as Roslin Hashim, Ong Ewe Hock, Koo Kien Keat, Tan Boon Heong, Jalani Sidek, and Cheah Soon Kit have joined the 14-member Technical Advisory Panel created by Academy of Badminton Malaysia (ABM).

The Technical Advisory Panel also consists 7 other members, such as Norza Zakaria (Chair), Ahmad Shapawi Ismail, Ahmad Faedzal Md Ramli, Teoh Teng Chor, Ng Chin Chai, Kenny Goh, and Ramlan Abd Aziz.

According to the statement from BAM, the Technical Advisory Panel will serve on a pro bono basis and will provide additional input, advice, and strategic guidance to the Board of Trustees and ABM Management to improve player performances for the long-term strategic goal of podium performances at the Olympic Games, Multi-Sport Events and BWF World Tour tournaments.

“The Technical Advisory Panel, who will meet every quarterly, will review players’ and coaches’ performances and where required propose changes in policies, training programs, and tournament participation in the form of recommendation to the Board of Trustees,” said BAM.

“The panel’s first meeting is expected to take place at the end of February 2023,” added BAM.
