Lee Chong Wei ‘would quit’ if suspended for doping (video)
By Jennifer Pak
Malaysia’s national hero, Lee Chong Wei, says he will retire from the sport of badminton if he is given a two-year suspension for allegedly doping.
Mr Lee tested positive for a banned substance last year when he was world number one.
He is not allowed to compete until his case is heard before the Badminton World Federation next month.
If his appeal is not successful, he faces a suspension of up to two years.
Mr Lee spoke to the BBC’s Jennifer Pak.
