In spite of having been hospitalized until the day before the tournament began, the Danish single sensation Peter Gade went all the way and won the Super Series in Malaysia.

He arrived in Kuala Lumpur last week on a stretcher, spending the first few days in a hospital bed. This week, Peter Gade leaves Malaysias capitol as the new-crowned champion of the years first Super Series, the Malaysian Open.
The remarkable comeback was completed when the Danish badminton star defeated his Chinese opponent in the final, Bao Chunlai. It took Peter Gade 53 minutes to win the match with two sets to one (21-15, 17-21, and 21-14).
