Ukrainian badminton players got into final of Europe Cup (pic)

For the first time in the career Ukraine’s duet of badminton players consisting of Elena Prus and Valery Atrashchenkov has got into a final of Europe Cup in badminton.

Elena Prus confessed Ukrainian team has placed stake on pair badminton: ‘I ranked 67th in the individual event. But as for a duet with Atrashchenkov, we won four international tournaments in Romania, Sweden, Austria and Germany that allows us feeling free before the final’.

According to Prus, Ukrainian badminton is at fault: ‘Our country paid only for the trip to the team European Championship and international tournament in Poland. Sponsors are paying for all other competitions. Ukraine has got used to take medal places with minimum costs”, reports uaSport.net.

The contests at Europe Cup in badminton started in September 2008. Following the results of 17 international starts two best pairs are getting into the final to struggle for a title of winners at Europe Cup.
