JAKARTA: World No.1 pair Markis Kido and Hendra Setiawan of Indonesia advanced to the semifinals at the Asian badminton championship in Suwon, South Korea, on Friday.

Kido/Hendra defeated Cheng Hung Ling/Lin Yu Lang of Taiwan 21-15, 21-10 in 25 minutes, Antara reported.

The Indonesian pair, who have been absent from competition due to Kido’s injury, will face Chai Biao/Liu Xiaolong, the 23-21, 21-19 winners over Hoon Thien How/Lin Woon Fui of Malaysia, in the semifinals.
