SEREMBAN: National badminton player Razif Latif has been admitted to Seremban Hospital after showing symptoms of influenza A (H1N1).
Razif, 24, who was hospitalised on Monday, had high fever a day after returning from Johor Baru, where he competed in the Yonex-Sunrise Malaysia Open Grand Prix Gold.
The 24-year-old had also competed in the Singapore and Indonesia Opens before the Johor Baru meet.
Razif and mixed doubles partner Woon Khe Wei are preparing for the World Championships in Hyderabad, India, on Aug 10-16.
In Johor Baru, a man who worked as a waiter in Woodlands, Singapore, is the latest confirmed case of influenza A (H1N1) in Johor.
He had been suffering from cough and fever for four days before entering Johor on a bus on Monday.
He is warded at Sultanah Aminah Hospital, while six family members in Mersing have been put in home quarantine.
The man’s fiance and three of her family members have also been quarantined at their home in Kulaijaya.
