Mother and son create history (pic)

ISRAEL’S Misha Zilberman-Svet­lana Zilberman will go into the history books as the first son and mother partnership in the mixed doubles event of the World Championships.History makers: Svetlana Zilberman making a return to Japan’s Noriyasu Hirata-Shizuka Matsua while Misha Zilberman looks on in the second round mixed doubles event yesterday. Hirata-Matsua won 21-11, 21-10.

Misha, 19, and 45-year-old Svet­la­­na reached the second round after enjoying a walkover from England’s Anthony Clark-Donna Kellogg but went down 11-21, 10-21 to Japanese Noriyasu Hirata-Shizuka Matsua yesterday.
