Welsh pair Richard Vaughan and Sarah Thomas were knocked out in the first round of the mixed doubles at the World Championships in India on Tuesday.
A tough draw against the number seven seeds from Denmark, Thomas Laybourn and Kamilla Rytter Juhl, saw Vaughan and Thomas lose 21-15 21-12.
Thomas also lost in tandem with sister Rachel in Wednesday’s ladies doubles.
The Welsh women faced seventh seeds Wen Hsing Cheng and Yu Chin Chien of Chinese Taipei and lost 21-9 21-3.
The tournament has seen the England team withdraw, saying they were concerned about safety after a terror threat.
But Wales and Scotland have opted to compete at the tournament in in Hyderabad.
