After upsetting home favorite and No. 1 seed Michelle Li in the quarter-final 21-15, 19-21, 21-3 on Friday, the No. 4 seed produced yet another brilliant performance on Saturday to down Fabienne Deprez of Germany 21-17, 21-12 in 39 minutes.
She will be facing Wang ZhiYi of China in the final.
In men’s singles, the No. 6 seed Parupalli Kashyap of India has recovered from dropping the first game as he dominated the second and the third in a 14-21, 21-17, 21-18 victory over No. 4 seed Wang Tzu Wei at Markin MacPhail Centre.
Kashyap’s opponent in the final will be Li Shi Feng of China, who needed three games to get past Japanese Koki Watanabe 20-22, 21-10, 21-11 in a 57-minute contest.
Denmark’s men’s doubles No. 8 seeds Mathias Boe/Mads Conrad-Petersen finished with a comparatively straightforward win over Taiwan’s third seeds Lu Ching Yao/Yang Po Han 21-14, 21-16 to set up a final meeting with unseeded Hiroki Okamura/Masayuki Onodera of Japan on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Korea’s Ko Sung Hyun/Eom Hye Won will set up a final showdown with China’s Guo Xin Wa/Zhang Shu Xian in the mixed doubles title match.
