Kuala Lumpur: The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) is ready to provide help to Chan Peng Soon who was diagnosed with Bell’s palsy.
According to BAM Secretary-General Datuk Kenny Goh, right now, they have been waiting for Chan to reach out to them before they could do anything.
“Maybe we can help him by recommending that he meet with the National Sports Institute (ISN),” said Goh. Chan had previously published a video on his social media telling his fans that his was experiencing facial weakness that caused right corner of his mouth to droop and inability to close his left eye.
The paralysis of his facial muscles was really bothered him during the BWF World Tour Finals in Guangzhou.
Not only that Chan and his mixed partner, Goh Liu Ying were unable to win a single match at the BWF World Tour Finals, but also failed all their three matches in straight-set.
Meanwhile, when asked about the end-of-season player and coach evaluations, Goh said everything will be finalized in January 2020.
