Indonesia will send 11 shuttlers to compete in Malaysia Open of Super Series scheduled on Jan. 19-24, the Kompas daily quoted an official as saying on Tuesday.
Jacob Rusdianto, Secretary General of the Indonesian Badminton Association, said that the 11 shuttlers will play in four divisions, namely women’s singles, women’s doubles, men’s doubles and mixed doubles.
The association did not send shuttlers for the men’s singles.
"We will not send for men’s singles as they will focus their training on the Thomas Cup," said Rusdianto.
The Thomas Cup and Uber Cup championship will be held on May 6-15 in Malaysia.
