Tai Tzu Ying Named Kaohsiung’s Tourism Ambassador

Kaohsiung: The World No. 1 women’s singles player, Tai Tzu Ying has been chosen by Kaohsiung’s Tourism Bureau as the city’s autumn and winter tourism ambassador.

Supported by the city of Kaohsiung and the mayor of Kaohsiung, Chen Chi-Mai, the Kaohsiung born 26-year-old “Queen of Badminton” was entrusted with the immense task of introducing Kaohsiung’s authentic cuisines, tourist attractions to all Taiwanese and her fans around the world.

In an effort to promote fun places in Kaohsiung, Tai Tzu Ying and the mayor of Kaohsiung, Chen Chi-Mai, were taking selfies at The Pier2 Art Center on Saturday afternoon, an art center in Yancheng District, Kaohsiung. They also played a friendly match and tasted Italian ice cream together.

Kaohsiung is the second-largest city in Taiwan, a cultural and culinary destination ideal for a weekend break. The Port of Kaohsiung is the largest port in Taiwan and the sixth-largest container port in the world. Its other attractions including the Chungcheng Cultural Center with its exhibitions and performances of traditional and modern Taiwanese arts and culture. Tourists can also visit the Yuanheng, Tsoying and Spring Autumn Temples, Kaohsiung Exhibition Center, and enjoy the evening view at Singuang Ferry Wharf.
