Kuala Lumpur: Without a doubt, 2020 was a very challenging time for everyone as the global COVID-19 pandemic has affected our day to day life and has slowed down the global economy. Nearly every major sporting event has been canceled, or postponed, including badminton.
The last BWF World Tour tournament to be played in 2020 was the Denmark Open, from 13 to 18 October. And before that, it was the All England Open in March of 2020 before the COVID-19 pandemic forced Badminton World Federation (BWF) to drop all international tournaments due to safety concerns over the coronavirus outbreak.
Despite the coronavirus lockdown and travel restriction in many countries aiming to slow the spread of coronavirus, a lot of things had happened for the sport of badminton from around the world in 2020.
