New Delhi: India’s bet on its best women’s singles player – Saina Nehwal came up short, when she was knocked out by the third seed Wang Yihan from China in the $250,000 India Open Super Series badminton Friday.Saina Nehwal was knocked out of women’s singles quarter-final in India Open

Wang Yihan, who also ranks world No.2, defeated Saina with 21-16, 21-14 in 39 minutes. With this win, she extended her career win over Saina to an 8-1 lead.
