Another Indian shuttler, national champion Kidambi Srikanth, who defeated world number 10 Nyugen Tien Minh of Vietnam in the Singapore Open's second round, remains static at 25th.
Sindhu was ranked world No.9 after reaching the finals of the Syed Modi International tournament in January, but the defeat to two-time All England champion Shixian Wang of China at India Open Super Series last week cost P.V. Sindhu a place as the Indian shuttler slipped to the 11th position.
However, Indian ace shuttler Saina Nehwal was still steady at the eighth place in the latest BWF ranking released on Thursday.
No other Indian shuttler rank in the top-25 of the men’s, women’s and mixed doubles rankings.
