Lee Chong Wei awaits results of B sample test

Kuala Lumpur: Malaysia’s media reported that world number one Lee Chong Wei waited more than an hour at the Norwegian Oslo University Hospital laboratory on Wednesday, to witness the seal breaking session of his B sample. The urine tests will be announced either on Thursday or Friday.Oslo University Hospital is where the test is taking place

Badminton World Federation (BWF) will first be informed by the Olso University Hospital laboratory about the test result, then, BWF will contact Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) before reaching out to Chong Wei.

CEO of National Sports Institute (NSI) Datuk Dr Ramlan Aziz, BAM general manager Kenny Goh and an European lawyer that has handled some high profile sports doping cases were inside the lab together with Chong Wei.

“Two scientists will certify the official result, before the result is sent to ADAMS (Anti-Doping Administration and Management System under the World Anti-Doping Agency) and BWF,” said Dr Ramlan.

Lee Chong Wei was implicated to have failed a random test at the World Badminton Championships in Copenhagen in late August.
