“The Malaysia Youth and Sports Ministry called me last year to discuss about that position at BAM, it didn’t take me long to agree with the offer, because I like the sport and I like Malaysia.”

Frost said he would perform a sharp assessment of the Malaysian badminton team before he change anything.

“Change is inevitable, but I’ll have to get to the bottom of the problems, before I can come up with proper strategies for BAM.”

Meanwhile, Japanese badminton head coach Park Joo-bong also backed the appointment of Morten Frost Hansen as BAM’s technical director.

“Morten was the national coaching director when BAM hired me as the doubles head coach in 1999,” said Park.

“Morten is very good in planning, I believed Morten can bring the badminton glory days back to Malaysia again,” added Park.
