Zulfadli Zulkiffli to meet Nguyen Tien Minh in Sydney International final

Sydney: No. 1 seed Zulfadli Zulkiffli sailed into Saturday’s final with a comprehensive 21-11, 21-16 beat down of Tan Yuhan of Belgium at the Sydney International semi-finals on Friday.Setyana Mapasa (left) & Gronya Somerville are eye candies at Sydney International. The 22-year-old goes on to face second seed Vietnamese Nguyen Tien Minh who thrashed Zulfadli’s younger brother Zulhelmi Zulkiffli 21-13, 21-7 in 29 minutes.

In men’s doubles, Malaysian pair Jagdish Singh/ Roni Tan Wee Long had easily beaten Rizwan Azam/ Michael Fariman from Pakistan and Australia 21-19, 21-9, to set up a men’s doubles clash with Liu Wei Chen/Yang Po Han of Chinese Taipei on Saturday.

Home favorites Setyana Mapasa/Gronya Somerville will provide a formidable test for top seeds Jongkolphan Kititharakul/Rawinda Prajongjai of Thailand in the women’s doubles final, while No. 3 seed Ozge Bayrak of Turkey will play No. 4 seed Pornpawee Chochuwong of Thailand for the women’s crown.
