Kuala Lumpur: Technical director of the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) Morten Frost Hansen told Malaysian media that he would let Malaysian badminton superstar Lee Chong Wei decide for himself as to whether or not he would really like to participate in the China and Hong Kong Open that will be held in November.
The 34-year-old World No. 1 men’s singles player suffered a quarter-final loss to Brice Leverdez of France at the Denmark Open on October 21st due to hamstring injury.
“Chong Wei is currently training for that two tournament around his injury,” said Frost.
“As he is still recovering from his hamstring injury, we will evaluate his overall condition before making the final decision,” added Frost.
The China Open Superseries will be held from November 15th to November 20th, followed by Hong Kong Open from November 22nd to November 27th.
