In their Olympics final rematch with Kamilla Rytter Juhl/Christinna Pedersen of Denmark, Japan’s Misaki Matsutomo/Ayaka Takahashi blistered away to a straight set 21-12, 21-11 win in the women’s doubles semi-finals. The Japanese pair will battle Chen Qingchen/Jia Yifan of China for the women’s doubles crown on Sunday.

Chen/Jia narrowly escaped in the semi-final against Chang Ye Na/Lee So Hee of Korea, after saving 3 match points in the second set to prevail 23-21, 22-20.
