Kuala Lumpur: Datuk Seri Mohamad Norza Zakaria has been appointed as the new President of Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) president for the 2017 to 2021 term.
BAM Council members held a closed-door meeting with BAM Patron Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor on Thursday, and has reached a consensus that BAM’s deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Norza Zakaria should be the next President of BAM.
At the meantime, the current BAM acting president, Tan Sri Mohamed Al-Amin Abdul Majid will become BAM’s adviser.
After received unanimous support from the BAM Council members, Mohamad Norza Zakaria said it highlighted the family spirit in BAM and Norza also vowed to bring back the glory of Malaysia badminton in the international stage.
