Kim Hock says he will work things out

KUALA LUMPUR: Coach Yap Kim Hock has given an assurance that he will take the first step to make up with Lee Chong Wei.

He said that he wanted his relationship with Chong Wei to be back as how it used to be.

“I was surprised with all these (Chong Wei's remarks) but there must be some misunderstanding. I give my word that we will work this out,” said Kim Hock.

“Sometimes during training, I used to play against him. Everything seemed all right to me.

“But now efforts must be put to get things back in order.”

The 25-year-old Chong Wei was all smiles after the meeting with BAM president Datuk Nadzmi Mohd Salleh.

“I feel really good after being open about everything to the president. I have confessed whatever problems I have with Kim Hock to him. I have done my part,” he said.

“I will not let it affect my preparation for upcoming tournaments. He (Nadzmi) has motivated me and told me to bounce back. My next assignment is the Japan Open (Sept 11-16) and I will be ready for it.”
