Youngsters wanted for badminton clubs

YOUNGSTERS aged between nine and 17 are wanted for two new Liverpool Badminton Clubs.

The clubs aim to develop and improve badminton skills with the help of qualified Badminton England coaches.

The first club is at Anfield Sports and Community Centre on Lower Breck Road (contact number 0151 263 6186).

The club are holding a ‘Taster Day’ this Thursday between noon and 2pm before opening its doors officially on February 21 at 7pm.

The second club is at Everton Park Sports Centre, Great Homer Street (contact number: 0151 207 1921).

Exact details for sessions have yet to be released, although they will run on Fridays from 7pm to 9pm, getting under way by February 29th.

Both clubs aim to work towards Badminton England Accreditation Premier status, and are confident that they can nurture talented youngsters into top class players.
