Chan Peng Soon vs. Ed Sheeran

Kuala Lumpur: British pop star Ed Sheeran has just played in a 3v1 badminton match with Rio Olympics mixed doubles silver medalist Chan Peng Soon during his tour in Malaysia!

On one hand, whilst Ed Sheeran was performing in front of sold-out crowds at the Bukit Jalil Stadium on Feb 24 to over 12,000 fans in his 3rd concert in Malaysia, on the other he was enjoying himself quite a bit with a favorite Malaysian pastime of badminton.

According to the video shown above uploaded by Chan Peng Soon, Ed Sheeran, with two friends, joined in a badminton match against Chan Peng Soon. Chan Peng Soon, being the silver medalist he is, was having a lot of fun messing with the three others, who were constantly getting hit. But in the end, they all seemed to have a lot of fun.

Ed Sheeran exclaimed, “Badminton is very popular in Malaysia, so I got some help,” showing his support for the local Malaysian culture and immersing himself while having a fun time.
