Glasgow: Malaysia’s Lee Chong Wei and China’s Lin Dan are two of the hottest names on show at 2017 Badminton World Championships starting August 21 in Glasgow, Scotland.
Lee, who will turn 35 and Lin Dan will turn 34 in October, still play excellent badminton and are attracting the spotlights from all corners in Glasgow.

During a pre-tournament press conference, reporters asked Lee and Lin’s about their confidence level as they will start playing at the World Championships this week.
“I am very focused, but it’s going to be tough,” said Lee.
“There were only two Chinese players in Olympics, but there are four Chinese players in here. I have a tough draw, but I’ll just try to do my best,” added Lee.
As for Lin Dan, reporters were more interested in whether he could achieve the seemingly unachievable by winning the record sixth World Championships title.
“I would be happy to win again, but it’s going to be a tough challenge since many young and talented players were drawn into the same half as mine,” said Lin.
When they were asked if this would be their last World Championship, both badminton legends giggling their way through the question and both replied with same answer by saying – “I don’t know.”
