Lee Chong Wei stays upbeat and positive

Kuala Lumpur: Malaysia’s former Minister for Youth and Sports Khairy Jamaluddin paid Lee Chong Wei a visit on Friday, and said Lee only lost about 5kg after his cancer treatment and most of his weight lost came from muscle mass.

Jamaluddin told reporters that Lee is having a good prognosis, the Malaysian badminton superstar just need to continue boosting his immune system.

Jamaluddin also asked whether Lee would continue to play badminton. Lee replied by saying: “I can’t wait to get back to the badminton court!”

Lee came back from Taiwan last Sunday after spending more than two-months in Taiwan receiving treatment for his early-stage nose cancer.
