Beijing: China’s badminton legend, Lin Dan, celebrated his 39th birthday with family members and friends on Saturday.
Lin posted several pictures of him, his wife who was also the former World No. 1 women’s singles player – Xie Xingfang, and their son on his social media page.
In one of the pictures, Xie looked elegant when she leaned close to Lin Dan, while Lin Dan looked happy and sweet as he put his arms around his 5-year-old son.
In addition to Lin Dan’s family photos, his birthday cake design has led to speculations that Lin would be focusing more on playing golf after retiring.
That may not be 100% true as Lin Dan was appointed as the badminton ambassador last week for China’s National Sports School Federation’s youth badminton. The main responsibility of that role was to help promote the sport of badminton among Chinese youth.
