Dubai: In the absence of world number one men’s singles shuttler Lee Chong Wei and world number one women’s singles shuttler Li Xuerui, doors are wide open for Chen Long and Saina Nehwal at the BWF Superseries Finals.
In addition to his two Superseries titles – South Korea and Denmark and his World Championship victory, Chen Long of China also aiming to complete his 2014 run with the BWF Superseries Finals title.

Saina Nehwal was drawn in Group A alongside China’s Wang Shixian and two players from South Korea, Sung Ji-hyun and Bae Yeon-ju. Group B consists of China’s Wang Yihan, Ratchanok Intanon of Thailand, Chinese Taipei’s Tai Tzu-ying and Akane Yamaguchi of Japan. The Group B consists of China’s Wang Yihan, Ratchanok Intanon of Thailand, Chinese Taipei’s Tai Tzu-ying and Akane Yamaguchi of Japan.
The 24-year-old admitted her toughest opponent will be China’s Wang Yihan.
“I preferred playing Shixian to Yihan,” she said. “It has been tough for me against Yihan.”
