Chong Wei Feng pulls out of All England

Kuala Lumpur: The No. 2 men’s singles player in Malaysia – Chong Wei Feng who sustained a hamstring injury at India Masters on Jan 23, has withdrawn from the 2015 All England that will be held from March 3rd to March 8th.

The announcement was made by Chong Wei Feng two days before the Chinese New Year.Wish Chong Wei Feng a speedy recovery

“My injury have only healed to about 80%, I don’t want to risk aggravating a muscle strain because there’s other big tournaments that I need to participate this year,” said Wei Feng.

With Chong Wei Feng’s exit, Malaysia were left with Mohd Arif Abdul Latif and Zulfadli bin Zulkiffli to carry the flag in the All England men’s singles category. Both players will kick off this event from the qualifying round.

Two week following the abrupt resignations of Hoon Thien How and Lim Khim Wah, Tan Wee Kiong-Goh V Shem became the sole Malaysian men’s doubles pair to compete at the 2015 All England.
