England: London Olympic bronze medallist Saina Nehwal on Saturday scripted history by reaching the final of the prestigious All England Badminton Championship with a straight-game victory over Sun Yu of China in the women’s singles competition.
The World No. 3 Indian, who reached the semifinals of the event in 2010 and 2013, defeated the unseeded Sun 21-13, 21-13 in a match that lasted for 50 minutes at the Barclaycard Arena.

England: Denmark’s Viktor Axelsen is living proof that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
The 21-year-old is one of just three Europeans to have cracked the top 10 of the men’s badminton world rankings.
Axelsen is currently ranked ninth in the world. His fellow Danes, Jan O Jorgensen (second) and Hans-Kristian Vittinghus (eighth), are the other two.
