Chen Long beat Jan Jorgensen to win 2015 All England

Birmingham: World champion Chen Long of who beat two-time Olympic champion Lin Dan in Saturday’s semifinals, fought back from one game down to beat Denmark’s Jan Jorgensen for the men’s singles title at the 2015 All England badminton championships on Sunday.Congratulations to Chen Long!

Even though he lost the first set to Jan Jorgensen, but Chen Long stayed calm and composed, he found the right balance between attack and defense in the second and third set to defeat the Danish number two seed, the first European to reach the final since 2004, 15-21,21-17,21-15 in 1 hour and 27 minutes.

China’s Zhang Nan and Zhao Yunlei, the world and Olympic champions, trounced defending champions Tontowi Ahmad and Liliyana Natsir of Indonesia 21-10, 21-10 in the mixed doubles final.

Meanwhile, Denmark’s Mathias Boe/Carsten Mogensen knocked off Fu Haifeng/Zhang Nan of China 21-17, 22-20 to clinch the second All England men’s doubles crown of their career.
