Paris: Badminton Olympic champion Lin Dan appeared at the Paris Olympics opening ceremony and shared his thoughts about Chinese athletes competing in Paris.

Lin Dan said, “After spending 20 years with the national team and participating in four Olympics, I never had the chance to attend an opening ceremony. This time, attending as a guest feels quite exciting. I think it’s a bit more relaxed after retirement; everyone seems more at ease at the moment. The main focus is on the competition starting tomorrow, and I hope the Chinese athletes maintain a good mindset for the Paris Olympics.”

“Today is relatively relaxed, including passing the Olympic torch in the Olympic Village this morning. Everyone is quite relaxed right now, but with the competition starting tomorrow, I hope all Chinese athletes can face this Paris Olympics with a good attitude,” said Lin Dan.
