BAM to invite Misbun back as coaching director (pic)
PETALING JAYA: Former national coach Datuk Misbun Sidek could soon be back in the BA of Malaysia’s (BAM) fold.
That is, if he decides to accept the offer from the BAM to come on board as the national coaching director.
Misbun’s name was repeatedly brought up during the BAM’s Corporate Skills and Research (CSR) meeting chaired by president Tengku Tan Sri Mahaleel Tengku Ariff last month.
Even world No. 1 Lee Chong Wei has voiced his opinion that Misbun should be brought back.

KUALA LUMPUR: World No. 1 Lee Chong Wei has recommended his former coach Datuk Misbun Sidek to be the head coach for the national training centre.
The 31-year-old Chong Wei gave this opinion when he attended the Corporate Skills and Research (CSR) meeting chaired by acting chairman Tan Sri Tengku Mahaleel Tengku Ariff last week – before he left for China to play in an exhibition match with five-time world champion Lin Dan of China. 
Chong Wei, when contacted after the exhibition match, said that the national team needed a supremo to manage the players and coaches – similar to how other countries are running their programmes.
