Kuala Lumpur: China’s former badminton chief coach, Li Yongbo has been labeled as arrogant and domineering coach and he would do whatever it takes to win matches. He was a controversial figure especially after the match-throwing scandal at the 2012 London Olympics, where he initially laid the blame for the scandal on himself and apologized, then later said he was taking advantage of the rules and the Badminton World Federation (BWF) over-reacted by disqualifying the players. Rashid Sidek: Malaysia have strong Thomas Cup team
Kuala Lumpur: Chances for the national badminton squad to qualify for the semifinals of the Thomas Cup competition appear to be brighter, according to former national chief coach, Rashid Sidek.
He said the line-up of players, led by national champion Datuk Lee Chong Wei, was the best made by the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) for the final round in Kunshan, China from May 15 to 22.

Rashid Sidek & Rosman Razak say goodbye to BAM
Kuala Lumpur: After 13 years serving as a coach at the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM), Malaysia’s chief singles coach Rashid Sidek has decided not to renew the contract with BAM on Monday. Meanwhile, Rosman Razak who has done extremely well as the women’s doubles coach since taking charge in 2012, has also decided to leave BAM after about 20 years with the organization both as a player and as a coach.
