Birmingham: Two-time Olympic champion Lin Dan who had won the prestigious All England tournament in 2004, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2012, made history in the modern badminton era by capturing his sixth All England title at the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham, England on Sunday.
Tokyo: Lin Dan of China has once again proved his reputation as “Super Dan” after he earned a hard fought three-set battle against 21-year-old Viktor Axelsen in the Japan Open final on Sunday.
Lin Dan got off to a slow start in the first set in which he trailed 3-8 against Viktor Axelsen at one point. Lin then overcame some sloppy errors to eventually win the first set 21-19.
