Jeonju City: World number one men’s doubles pair Lee Yong-Dae/Yoo Yeon-Seong from South Korea maintained their scintillating form at the Korea Grand Prix final as they exacted sweet revenge on team-mates Ko Sung-Hyun and Shin Baek-Cheol with a 21-18 21-19 victory in 50 minutes on Sunday. Ko Sung-Hyun and Shin Baek-Cheol won their last encounters in the World Championships, where they rallied from one set deficit to upset fellow countrymen Lee Yong-dae and Yoo Yeon-seong in the pulsating 79-minute World Championships final.

Kuala Lumpur: After winning the Sri Lanka International Challenge last week, former world No.1 Lee Hyun-il proved he’s still got game!
Lee signed a two-year deal with Malaysian equipment manufacturer Apacs in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday. The 34-year-old South Korean came out of his second retirement last fall to capture the Korea Grand Prix Gold in Jeonju by defeating Ji Hoon Hong 21-18 21-12.

World-class field on show for NZ Open (pic)
Two former world No1 badminton players are in the field for next month's New Zealand Open at North Shore Events Centre.
Throw in a former world No3 and the quality of the field will be just about the best seen in the country.
Korea's Lee Hyun-Il was the game's top-ranked male player midway through the 2000s. He was beaten in the semifinals at the 2008 Olympics and lost the bronze medal playoff in London two years ago.
Indonesian Simon Santoso got as high as No3 on the ranking list. The 29-year-old has a string of international titles to his name.
