Mumbai: The Badminton Association of India (BAI) has finally managed to rope in the services of top doubles coach Tan Kim Her on Friday. New Delhi: P Gayatri has badminton in her genes. Daughter of chief national coach and former All-England badminton champion Pullela Gopichand and former India champ PVV Lakshmi, Gayatri is a ‘chip off the old block’ in every sense.
Just 12 years of age, the shy and demure Gayatri is already leading the way in the Under-13 girls category. She won the U-13 national doubles title last year and is the No. 1 seed in her age-group in both singles and doubles at the PNB Metlife All India sub junior ranking badminton tournament currently on at the Thyagraj Stadium in the Capital.

New Delhi: As part of its Target Olympic Podium (TOP) Scheme, the Sports Ministry of India has decided to provide financial assistance to the Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy in Hyderabad, where four shuttlers are currently training under the programme.
The four players are Parupalli Kashyap, Kidambi Srikanth, HS Prannoy and RMV Gurusaidutt.
