The 26-year-old were struggling but eventually able to beat R.M.V. Gurusaidutt of India 21-12, 5-21, 21-19 in a 59-minute quarter final match. He is going to face another Indian player, Sourabh Varma, in the semi-final on Saturday.
Sourabh defeated Taiwanese Chou Tien-chen 22-20, 18-21, 21-15 on the other quarter-final.
“I know Guru's game very well, because I've beated him three times before – all in rubber games. It's never easy to play against him. As you can see, it was a very close game,” said Wei Feng while wiping away his sweat.
