Malaysian crash out, while Lin Dan cruises into semi-finals of Asia Championships

Korea: Malaysian ended their journey at the Badminton Asia Championships on Friday when Low Juan Shen/Nelson Heg Wei Keat went down to Shi Longfei/Chen Zhuofu of China 21-18, 21-13; while Anscelly Amelia Alicia/Soong Fie Cho faltered against Indian pair Ashwini Ponnappa/Jwata Gutta 21-12, 21-12.I wish I can replace my beer belly with Lin Dan's six pack abs

In the men’s singles, Lin Dan took 34 minutes to defeat Wei Nan of Hong Kong 21-10, 21-7 to cruise into the semi-finals of the men’s singles at the Badminton Asia Championships.

 

The world No. 83 has yet to drop a set in South Korea will play his compatriot Liu Kai in Saturday’s semi-final.

Sho Sasaki of Japan will play South Korea’s Hwang Jong-Soo in the other semi-finals matchup.

In the women’s singles semi-final, top-seed Wang Shixian of China will take on P. V. Sindhu of India on Saturday.

South Korean’s fourth seed, Sung Ji-Hyun, reached the last four by beating Tai Tzu Ying of Chinese Taipei 16-21, 21-13, 21-18. She will play Sayaka Takahashi of Japan who knocked out Kim Hyo-Min of South Korea 21-13, 21-18 in the quarter final.
