Perth: The 2011 World Championships mixed doubles silver medalist Imogen Bankier who confirmed her retirement last December in pursue of a business career, completed a perfect 10 successive mixed doubles title and a 16th national title in all, at the Yonex Scottish National Championships in Perth on Sunday.

Scotland: Scottish doubles specialist Imogen Bankier has retired from international badminton, admitting lack of motivation convinced her the time was right to call it quits.
The 28-year-old was Scotland’s most successful badminton player, and one of only four British players to compete at the London 2012 Olympics, playing mixed doubles alongside Chris Adcock.

Ville Lang, Robert Blair & Imogen Bankier win Scottish Grand Prix
Glasgow: Finland’s Ville Lang once again stole the limelight at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow on Sunday, when he stormed back by saving four match points in the second game against Chinese Taipei’s Wang Tzu Wei to take his second Scottish Open title after last lifting the title in 2006 back when the Scottish Open was still an international challenge tournament.

Glasgow 2014: Goh V Shem-Lim Yin Loo falters, other Malaysian advance
Glasgow: The mixed doubles scratch pair of Goh V Shem-Lim Yin Loo was the only Malaysian that didn’t make it to the round of 16 at Commonwealth Games’ individual badminton events on Wednesday. They suffered a hard-fought, 21-15, 14-21, 14-21 loss to world number 13 Robert Blair and Imogen Bankier of Scotland in 58 minutes. Blair-Bankier will play Terry Hee-Fu Mingtian of Singapore tomorrow.

Imogen Bankier won 2 badminton doubles titles at French International (pic)
Imogen Bankier won the women's doubles titles and the mixed doubles (with Robert Blair) at the French International in Orleans on Sunday.
They won the championship last year and they are now rank no 15 in the world.
They defeated Niclas Nohr and Sara Thygesen from Denmark with 21-13 19-21 21-18 in a thrilling 58-minute game.

Bankier and Blair determined to defend French badminton title (pic)
Milngavie’s Imogen Bankier and badminton mixed doubles partner Robert Blair are all set to defend their French International title in Orleans this weekend.
The Scottish top seeded pair are looking to build on their recent Yonex German Open triumph and maintain their winning form in the lead up to this year’s Commonwealth Games.

Scotland’s women exit European Team Badminton Championships (pic)
A defeat by Russia finally ended Scotland's women's hopes of reaching the knockout stages of the European Team Championships in Basel.
Kirsty Gilmour beat Natalia Perminova in the singles and paired with Imogen Bankier to win their doubles match.
But singles losses for Rebekka Findlay and Caitlin Pringle tied the match before Nina Vislova and Evgeniya Kosetskaya beat the duo in the doubles. 
Scotland's men hope to progress as one of the two best runners-up.
They came back from a 2-0 deficit at the St Jakobshalle venue to beat Belgium 3-2 and finish second in the group behind England to whom they lost 4-1 on Tuesday.
