NEW DELHI: With the absence of Saina Nehwal, P. V. Sindhu and K. Srikanth will lead the Indian charge at the $200,000 Asian Badminton championship which will start at Gimcheon, Korea on Tuesday.

Parupalli Kashyap moves up to world No 19, PV Sindhu drops out of top 10
In the newly released BWF ranking, Indian men’s singles, Parupalli Kashyap after his semifinal and quarterfinal finishes at Swiss Open and India Open Super Series respectively, he moved up four places to the 19th place.
Another Indian shuttler, national champion Kidambi Srikanth, who defeated world number 10 Nyugen Tien Minh of Vietnam in the Singapore Open's second round, remains static at 25th.

Singapore Open: P.V Sindhu and Kidambi Srikanth cruise to quarterfinals
18-year-old Sindhu, who won the World Championship bronze, Malaysia Open and Macau Open last year, prevailed over Japan's Shizuka Uchida 21-17 17-21 21-16 in a women's singles second round. The Indian will take on World No. 3 Yihan Wang on Friday.
In the first set, Sindhu was able to keep the pressure on the world number 113 Japanese Shizuka by maintaining her lead at 11-10, 14-10, then 19-14 and eventually took the set.

K Srikanth to inaugurate Nagpur media badminton tournament
NAGPUR: India's No. 1 men's singles badminton player Kidambi Srikanth will grace the inaugural ceremony of the annual badminton tournament for media employees on March 20.
Sports Journalists' Association of Nagpur (SJAN) and Post Graduate Teaching Department for Physical Education, RTM Nagpur University will be jointly organizing the three-day event.
