Kuala Lumpur: While no one likes to lose, it’s an absolutely insane moment on Sunday when Muar City appeared to have never been happier with their first loss of the season.

Without Lee Hyun-Il and Tai Tzu Ying, the short-handed Muar City lost their first tie of the season, falling 9-13 to the number three team in Purple League – Puchong United. Despite the loss, Muar City still racked up 71 points to capture the 2014-2015 Kopiko Purple League crown and received RM 1 million in prize money.Congratulations to Muar City. Wait... Purple League Champions Muar City stripped of 17 victories

Kuala Lumpur: After Muar City shut out Ampang Jaya BC on Tuesday, it’s obvious Muar City would be the number one team heading into end of the 2014-2015 Purple League regular season.

Kuala Lumpur: On Sunday night, Muar City BC of Purple League notched a blowout 15-6 win over Kepong BC to extend their franchise record winning streak to 9 games, thanks to strong performances from Lee Hyun Il and Mak Hee Chun/Tan Bin Shen.

Purple League: Puchong United survive Cheras scare

Kuala Lumpur: Puchong United BC hailed Cheras BC’s fighting spirit as they hung on for victory to secure a hard-fought 11-10 win on Friday.

World number 20th Tanongsak Saen Somboonsuk opened the tie against Muhammad Hafiz Hashim of Cheras in the first men’s singles match. Fittingly it was veteran Hafiz who clinched it for Cheras with his tricky net shots that forced a lot errors from the shuttler who came from Thailand. Purple League: Kajang BC finally get first win

Kuala Lumpur: The Kajang BC finally had a reason to smile on Wednesday when they got their first win of the season.

After opening the season with 7 consecutive losses, Kajang beat Nusajaya BC 10-9 on Wednesday for their first win. Lee Yong-Dae joins Purple League’s Muar City as a mentor

Kuala Lumpur: World number one men’s doubles player Lee Yong-Dae has joined Muar City in the role of mentor. He would not compete in Purple League, instead, he would be offering advice and sharing experience with the Muar City players.
